A GOOD argument every now and again has kept the spark in John and Millie Wilson's long marriage.
The couple, from Gilesgate, Durham City, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today.
They tied the knot at St Cuthbert's Roman Catholic Church, in Durham, in 1936. Millie, 85, said: "We have a bit argument now and then but it keeps you going."
They have a son, Jack, daughter-in-law Theresa and grandson Shaun.
Friends at Laurel Avenue Community Association, on the Sherburn Road Estate, Gilesgate, held a surprise party for them yesterday.
