ONE of Britain's leading Holocaust experts will be visiting the North-East to mark memorial events.
Paula Kitching of the London Jewish Cultural Centre, will explain the events which surrounded the Holocaust, as part of the inaugural Holocaust Memorial Day lectures.
Paula, from Darlington, will join Newcastle University lecturer Colin Clark, who will be examining contemporary racism and discrimination against Europe's Romani population. The lectures will be held at the Civic Centre Banqueting Hall, Newcastle, at 7pm tonight. The event is free and open to all.
Ms Kitching, who works closely with Holocaust survivors said: "It is so important for future generations that we never forget the events of the Holocaust.
