A MAN has been remanded in custody following the discovery of a body on North-East farmland last month.
Robert Sutherland, 35, of Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland, is accused of murdering Mark Anthony Corley between July 7 and December 14.
Corley, 22, went missing from his home in Grantham, Lincolnshire and his skeleton was later found with gunshot wounds in a field near Bolam, Darlington.
Sutherland appeared at Lincoln Crown Court yesterday following a previous magistrates court appearance.
The preliminary hearing to confirm his name and address lasted a matter of minutes and he was remanded in custody until March 5.
A murder inquiry launched by Lincolnshire police into Corley's death has already resulted in a number of arrests.
Five men and two women were bailed last week having been arrested by Lincolnshire police on suspicion of conspiring to murder.
Those arrested are from Scotland and Grantham
