SUNDERLAND footballers Alex Rae and Jurgen Macho joined hundreds of schoolchildren in a special screening of a new film tackling the issue of racism.
Scottish midfielder Rae and Austrian goalkeeper Macho attended the Wearside premiere of Disney movie Remember the Titans, at Boldon's UGC cinema, after team-mate Thomas Sorensen had to drop out.
In the film, starring actor Denzel Washington, two schools, one all-white and one all-black, come together.
The film follows the fortunes of the integrated school's American football team as the players unite to help overcome racism in the community.
Sunderland AFC and anti-racism group Kick It Out hosted the screening on Wednesday.
