TONY Booth, father of Cherie Blair, is taking part in a pensioners' rally at the Coatham Bowl, Redcar, along with BBC Radio Cleveland presenter Alan Wright and leader of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Councillor Dave Walsh.
The rally is being organised by the East Cleveland Pensioners' Convention Forum, which was set up last year to give pensioners a voice. The group is a branch of the National Pensioners' Forum.
Local forum secretary Mike Findley said: "The forum is open to pensioners, pensioners' groups, and people who have taken early retirement.
"We have been taking up many issues locally on behalf of the area's pensioners."
