A DOCTOR at the centre of a manslaughter probe was again interviewed by police yesterday.
Dr Pravin Chaturbhai Patel, 50, was arrested in London in September on suspicion of manslaughter after months of police inquiries into the death of wheelchair-user Andrew Ryan, 20, at Shotley Bridge Hospital, Consett, in July 1997.
Mr Ryan, of Pilgrims Way, Durham City, died during a routine circumcision operation after Dr Patel administered four local anaesthetic injections.
Detectives in County Durham travelled south and arrested Dr Patel in September at a private address in Harrow, Middlesex.
He answered police bail yesterday and was further interviewed and bailed again until the end of April, pending further inquiries
