A NORTH Durham glass gallery is preparing to exhibit collections by solo artists from around the North-East.
The Glass Gallery, in Medomsley Road, Consett, will be hosting displays of water colours, oils, pastels, landscape photography and scenes of local wildlife.
The first new exhibition, to go on display next month, is by Durham artist Bill Hindmarsh, whose work includes oils, pastels and water colours depicting traditional mining scenes.
Mr Hindmarsh, who has had work exhibited in Durham's DLI Museum and Wakefield Mining Museum, has been selling his work at the Glass gallery for the past year but wanted to branch out and show the public his various styles and techniques to the full.
He said: "The Glass Gallery is one of the few galleries where traditional art is displayed and sold."
