CHRISTMAS may be a memory but youngsters are looking forward to taking to the stage in their school pantomime.
Pupils at Framwellgate Primary School, in Durham, will be performing Puss in Boots for their classmates this afternoon. They will also perform tomorrow night and on Thursday in shows for family and friends.
The production is being directed by year five teacher Wendy Hughes and features up to 80 youngsters, including actors, dancers, the choir and band.
Puss is played by Amy Solomon, Sam Charlton is Dobbin, Emma Sweeney is Edwin, and The Dame is played by Andrew Gowland.
The Chamberlain is played by David Parsons, Darren Atkinson is Godwin, and Ellis Lazonby is Mostwyn.
Connor Atkinson is The Ogre, Jed Milburn is The King, Gemma Anderson is The Princess, Gemma Harding plays The Maid and Thomas Langley plays The Servant.
School spokeswoman Diane Buckle said: "We are looking forward to the pantomime and hoping to have good audiences at each performance.
"The pupils have been working very hard at rehearsals and they should be good nights of entertainment.''
The Wednesday and Thursday performances start at 7pm, and tickets cost £1 for adults and 50p for children. They are available from the school.
