PASSENGERS are being given the chance to say how life on the buses can be improved.
Go North-East, one of the region's leading operators, is holding a series of surgeries at which travellers can give their views on the service they are getting.
The company, whose subsidiaries include Go Gateshead, is holding a surgery in Gateshead on Thursday, February 8, at the town's Metro Interchange, from 11am to 2pm.
Passengers and people who do not use buses will be able to give company representatives their views on the services on offer and what improvements they think can be made.
They will also be able to find out information about the company and its buses.
Go North-East, which says that listening to its passengers is important in the process of developing its operations, is particularly keen that disabled people find out more about its fleet of easy-access buses.
Marketing manager Yvonne Dixon said: "This event is part of a series of bus-user surgeries we have introduced to help gain customer feedback.
"We are committed to providing the best bus service possible for local communities and can only do this by obtaining and acting upon customer demand and feedback.''
The company's surgeries are supported by the National Federation of Bus Users.
