A PLAN to build on a community steering group's past successes has been drafted.
During the past 12 months, the Reach for Success steering group, headed by Cleveland Police, has used sport to integrate thousands of youngsters into the community.
Operating a range of schemes, it covers a wide area of Teesside, mainly in deprived areas.
As the group's patron, Redcar MP Mo Mowlam, has promoted it on a local and national level.
Barry Shaw, Chief Constable of Cleveland Police and the group's chairman, has just released its business plan for the next financial year.
He said: "The project has been deliberately aimed at areas of social exclusion and high crime.
"Its impact has been one of the factors in a substantial reduction of crime in Cleveland over recent years."
