visitors have been offered a chance to find out about behind-the-scenes work at a Teesside museum and take a look into their past.
Stockton Borough Council's museums service and the Friends of Preston Park held an event at Preston Hall Museum with fun and informative sessions on the collections, new attractions and history.
Museums officer Muriel King said yesterday: "This was an opportunity for people to think about museums in a different way and see how, by collecting objects from our past, we can build up meaningful collections.
"Hopefully, the day provided visitors with a fun way to investigate the past.
