Hartlepool residents can have their say on the fight against crime at a meeting later this week.
Superintendent Steve Sugden, of Hartlepool police, will be speaking at the Central Police and Community Safety and Local Consultation Forum on Thursday.
As well as being able to find out about police plans for tackling crime in the area, people living in the central area of Hartlepool will be able to put questions to Supt Sugden. Councillor Stanley Fortune, central forum chairman, said: "It takes the whole community to work together to crack crime, so I hope as many people as possible will come along to the event."
The meeting will take place at 2pm, at the Belle Vue Sports Centre, Kendal Road
