THIEVES who broke into a house stole precious memories as well as valuable property.
The burglary victims are appealing to crooks to return not the hoard of gems and electrical gear stolen, but a treasured video which was in their camcorder when it was taken.
The film shows the couple's six-month-old daughter celebrating her first Christmas.
Thieves broke into the house, in Brass Castle Lane, Marton, near Middlesbrough, between 2.30pm and 3pm on Tuesday, setting off the burglar alarm.
Cleveland Police say thousands of pounds worth of electrical items and jewellery were taken, as well as the camcorder.
Even baby clothes were targeted.
The raiders escaped in a red or burgundy Rover Metro.
Witnesses should ring Detective Constable Mick Angus on (01642) 303140
