POLICE are investigating the theft of a trailer which is used to train firefighters at a North-East airport.
The trailer, valued at £8,000, was stolen from the fire station at Teesside International Airport, at 11.35am yesterday.
It contains equipment for the training of firefighters, including compressed gas bottles and dummies.
The trailer has a distinctive red livery.
Police are appealing for witnesses, or people with information, to come forward.
They are particularly keen to trace the owners of a beige-coloured car, possibly a Mazda, which was seen hanging around the area before the theft.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Darlington crime desk, on (01325) 467681.
