A WOMAN has written to The Northern Echo in a bid to track down her County Durham relatives.
Cynthia White, of Ringwood, near Bournemouth, has a number of letters written by Tom and Lizzie Adams, of Bishop Auckland, to her maternal grandmother, Lizzie's sister Julie.
She is attempting to find any descendants of Tom and Lizzie to see if they want to keep the letters.
The couple lived at the turn of the last century at 12 The Oaks, Evenwood, near Bishop Auckland, and had six children - Fred, Annie, Alfred, Arthur, Harry and Emily.
The letters date from 1900 to the 1920s and in one mourn the passing of Granny Butterfield. Cynthia White can be contacted on (01202) 877481.
