BUSINESSES in the North-East will soon be a click away from the most complete online service listing commercial property available for sale or lease in the region.

Seven leading commercial agencies have joined forces with national listings website egpropertylink.com to develop northeastprops.com - with a launch planned next month.

Chesterton, DTZ Debenham Tie Leung, Knight Frank, Storey Sons and Parker, Lamb and Edge, Naylors and Sanderson, Townend and Gilbert agreed that to make it easier for their clients to find commercial property in the region.

Commenting on the cooperation of the seven property agencies, David Nicholson of DTZ Debenham Tie Leung said: "It is exciting to see how much more we can deliver to our clients by working together and laying aside old rivalries."

Bill Naylor, of Naylors Chartered Surveyors, said: "The development of northeastprops.com is a clear demonstration of how commercial agents in the North East are responding to the changing needs of our clients.

"Customers want to use all tools available and by working with egpropertylink.com we will be able to offer the most advanced online solution for anyone searching for commercial space in the area."

Chris Pearson, of Chesterton, said: "One of the site's strengths is that it will cover all types of commercial property, to provide a one-stop shop for occupiers and agents." In addition, properties listed on northeastprops.com will be automatically available on the nationwide service, egpropertylink.com, which currently lists 11,500 properties and is visited by more than 9,750 users per month.

Jonathan Hamer, from egpropertylink.com, said: "We are naturally delighted to be partnering with these initial seven companies in Newcastle and providing them with their own service. It is further evidence that UK property agents can see the clear benefits of using egpropertylink.com for their national and regional marketing."
