AN ARMY craftsman from Teesside is carving out a peaceful future for the people of Bosnia.
John Mitchell, of Middlesbrough, is serving with The Princess of Wales' Royal Regiment as part of the British contribution to NATO's multi-national Stabilisation Force.
The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer is among many soldiers working to ensure the country's future peace through street patrols and community contact.
Mr Mitchell, 27, who is serving in Bosnia for the second time, said: "The country has advanced since I was last here. There are more shops and cafes open. But as we are now into the winter, which is our busiest time, there are always problems with weather and poor road conditions."
