VOLUNTEERS from the Darlington branch of Mind's charity shop have been rewarded for their hard work. Twenty four volunteers from the Bondgate shop received certificates and badges as part of the national charity's volunteer week. Among them was Nora Midcalfe, who has worked for Darlington Mind for 24 years. The shop's manager, Christine McCallum, said: "Some people give an awful lot of their time, and it can be a social outlet for many as well. At the end of the day, we always need new volunteers, because many hands make light work.
