THE Wheatsheaf pub, at Chilton, near Ferryhill, is staging a charity night to raise money towards the £2,700 needed by the local branch of the St John Ambulance for a heart defibrillator.
The show, on Saturday, will feature live music from rock band Shovel Mouth. There will also be games and a raffle. Tickets cost £2 each.
Landlady Sharon Turner said: "We've been raising money for St John's for quite a while. We're all looking forward to the fundraising evening."
