A PROJECT to refurbish Sir William Turner's Hospital at Kirkleatham has been given a cash boost.
The £1.7m facelift has been given a £100,000 loan from the National Association of Almshouses.
Trustees have had to borrow £200,000 but intend to repay the loans with cash grants and gifts.
Peter Sotheran, chairman of the board of trustees, said: "We are working hard to make up the shortfall in our funding package and this interest-free loan gives our efforts a wonderful boost."
The trustees are looking to local organisations and firms for help. Contact Mr Sotheran on (01642) 490401
