GOOD neighbours John Cunningham and Jane Bellis become more than friends when they star in a stage musical next month.
The theatrical couple's "wedding" is the setting for Bishop Auckland Amateur Operatic Society's new production Brigadoon, the story of a magical Scottish village which appears only once every 100 years.
The show is a family affair forJohn and Jane. His father, Bruce Cunningham, is the producer as well as playing the piper, and mother Sheila is in the chorus.
Jane's mother is the society's chairman and also appears in the chorus.
Debi Wilson plays the lead, with other principal parts taken by Elizabeth Wigington, Gareth Glasper and guest Barry Dargue.
The show runs at the Eden Theatre, in Bishop Auckland Town Hall, from Monday, March 26, to Saturday, March 31. Tickets are available at the Town Hall or on (01388) 602371.
