Wensleydale Creamery League
After their shock defeat at Catterick Village the previous week, Hawes United made no mistake in the return game on Saturday when they had a comfortable 7-2 victory to retain their four-point lead at the top.
Two goals from Nick Prince and a third by Stuart Dinsdale put the home side in command at the interval and at the start of the second half Prince completed his hat-trick before Wayne Winspear added a sixth.
Catterick hit back to reduce the deficit with goals from Andy Coe and Mark Pearson, but five minutes from time Sean Hutchinson conceded an own goal.
Leyburn kept on the heels of the leaders with a 4-0 home win over Richmond Buck. Alan Muir put them ahead after 15 minutes and on the half hour Richard Meehan headed in a second.
A minute after the break Meehan scored again and he completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute to round off the scoring.
Richmond Mavericks recorded their seventh successive win when they travelled to Reeth and had a 7-0 victory. Andrew Mollitt notched two early goals and Ben Hodgson and Gavin Newell doubled the tally before half-time.
In the second half Mollitt completed his hat-trick before Newell also brought his tally to three, one coming from the penalty spot.
Carperby moved into fourth place when they visited Bishopdale and won by five clear goals. The home side, below full strength, fell behind after 32 minutes when Simon Muir put the visitors in front and goals by Paul Stephenson and Tim Peacock made the interval score 3-0.
After 62 minutes Dave Moore added a fourth before Paul Read sealed Carperby's sixth successive league win.
Bowes scored their third successive win when they entertained Middleham Town and won 2-1. Scott Walker put them ahead with a shot after 21 minutes but four minutes from the interval Robbie Bright equalised. Bowes grabbed the points with a second goal from Walker eight minutes from time to go fifth.
Spennithorne extended their recent unbeaten run to five games when they faced Redmire in a game switched to their ground because their opponent's ground was unfit.
Charlie Allis gave them the lead after 11 minutes and five minutes later Stuart Hall headed in a second.
On the stroke of half-time Neil Atkinson made it 3-0 from the penalty spot and straight from the restart he added a fourth.
After 49 minutes he completed his hat-trick and a minute from the end Hall headed in his second goal of the game to make it 6-0. The win lifted Spennithorne up into seventh place in the table.
Swale Travaux were at home to Hawes B and captured three valuable points with a 3-0 victory. Andy Kelly put them in front on the half hour and a minute into the second half Chris Lambert added a second.
A header by John Potter put the home side 3-0 ahead, but they missed a great chance to add to their tally ten minutes from time when they were awarded a penalty. Hawes keeper Steve Raw made a good save to deny Lee Kirk from the spot.
The Catterick Garrison against Askrigg game was postponed.
