There can't have been many more memorable moments for Mary Reveley than Function Dream's scintillating success over an under-par Flagship Uberalles at Newbury on Saturday.

Monday means it's back to much more mundane meetings and Mary can make her mark with the mare Linea-G over a mile and a half in the Bet Direct From Littlewoods Classified Stakes.

This course and distance winner has been in good heart this winter and she was back in the winner's enclosure when upped to a mile and six in December when beating Rainbow Spirit by eight lengths.

The seven-year-old didn't quite last home over two miles last time but the return to this trip should be in her favour and she looks well suited by the conditions of this race. A strong pace will be in her favour.

Stravsea is another mare who goes well at this course and this well-handicapped type is fancied to go close in the Bet Direct On 0800 211 222 Fillies Handicap over a mile.

Reg Hollinshead's runner is now 6lb lower in the handicap than for that last victory and it's worth noting that all her wins have come over this course and distance.

My selection showed she was coming to hand when a close third to Haunt The Zoo here two outings ago and she would have preferred a stronger early gallop when a staying-on sixth to Davis Rock here last time.

With several in this field who have made the running she should get the race run to suit and she is taken to beat Bop, who is totally unexposed, and who hails from the very much in-form Karl Burke stable.

Norma Macauley's Mi Odds has thrived on Fibresand this year and is the one to be on in the Lady Jane Grey Handicap over arguably his optimum distance of a mile and three furlongs.

The Sure Blade gelding has won twice over course and distance but turned in his best effort in defeat when fourth to Kylkenny over an extra furlong at this track last time.

That was a really competitive affair and he can get back to winning ways in this lesser event. He goes really well for Graham Gibbons, who retains the ride on the gelding.

Raahyeh has nowhere near the experience of the previous three selections, but she is open to plenty of improvement and is the choice in the competitive looking Bet Today's Best Bets Handicap over six furlongs.

Forget her latest run at Lingfield over five furlongs as she didn't seem to cope with the drop back in trip. Judge her instead on her excellent third from a poor draw to Sir Mark Prescott's City Player over this course and distance.

On that evidence she could be very well treated on a mark of only 59 here, and the daughter of Rahy looks well drawn for one who likes to race up with the pace in stall one.

An interesting runner at Hereford is dual course winner Granny Rich in the Pontrilas Handicap Hurdle over two miles and one furlong.

Although she hasn't shown very much in her last two outings, she has slipped to a very favourable mark and she handles testing conditions very well. In a modest contest she is taken to beat Three Weeks.

l Lenny Lungo, who is having another splendid season, is likely to run the unbeaten Skipper's Cleuch and The Bajan Bandit at next month's Cheltenham Festival if there is cut in the ground.

Skipper's Cleuch will be defending his record of three bumper wins and four novice hurdle successes when he takes up the challenge in the Royal & SunAlliance Novices' Hurdle.

But Lungo has no doubts about the magnitude of the seven-year-old's task as he reasoned: ''That French horse Baracouda is some animal, but they say you should never be afraid of one and you never know the ferry might get stranded in Calais!''

The Bajan Bandit, winner of his three bumper races, will go for the Weatherbys Champion Bumper.

The Carrutherstown trainer explained: ''He has done very well for us so far and is a lovely horse, and he will run as long as it is not fast ground down there.
