THE Chernobyl Children's Project is looking for anyone who can help it to raise £3,000 to bring five children and their mothers to the Teesdale area for a respite holiday.
Having already organised three successful trips from Chernobyl to the region, the charity is hoping to raise enough money to make a fourth. As well as financial help, the group is looking for donations of toiletries, including toothpaste and toothbrushes, and children's clothing.
Anyone wishing to help can telephone (01833) 650777, or write to: Pine Ridge, Folly Top, Eggleston, Barnard Castle, DL12 0DH.
