PARENTS and children in Ferryhill are being asked what type of equipment should be installed in upgraded play areas.
Ferryhill Town Council and Sedgefield Borough Council have called a public meeting where the options for the three playing fields being revamped will be considered.
The meeting, at Ferryhill Town Hall, on Wednesday, at 5.30pm will discuss plans for the King George V playing field, Mainsforth Recreation Ground and Surtees Play Hill.
The improvements at the King George V field are part of a £100,000 scheme supported by a £25,000 grant from quarried products company Lafarge which operates the nearby Thrislington Quarry and Works.
