Teesside'S newest cyber cafe is in business.
QM Training, which runs Pitman Training Centres in Middlesbrough and Sunderland, has opened the doors to its centre offering Internet access to the public five days a week.
The Cyber Cafe gives people in Middlesbrough the chance to access the superhighway from the comfort of QM Training's converted church in Corporation Road, Middlesbrough.
The company has decided to offer the IT equipment it uses for its training courses to web users on Teesside.
The centre specialises in public and corporate training for Pitman certified courses in office and IT Skills, which can be carried out in conjunction with, and are suited to meet the needs of, businesses.
Internet access cost £5 an hour and the Cyber Cafe is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9.30am to 7.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Max Liversidge, managing director of QM Training, said: "Middlesbrough is lacking resources that can open the Internet to a wider audience.
"It made perfect sense to expand our services to include a Cyber Cafe at our premises."
