A COUPLE who once owned a teashop in the village where popular TV soap Emmerdale was filmed, will put their collection of memorabilia up for sale this weekend.
The stars were regulars at the caf between scenes, as were the crew, and the lots include one of the largest collections of signed photographs ever sold by auctioneers Tennants, in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.
A sign hung outside The Woolpack, road signs for Beckindale and promotional posters also go under the hammer on Saturday.
Much of the location work was done in the village of Esholt, which became a Mecca for fans of the programme.
However, a replica of the main street has since been built on the Harewood Estate, between Leeds and Harrogate, with most of the filming take place away from the public gaze.
Viewing is between 9am and 7pm tomorrow, with estimates for most lots between £50 and £200.
