WITH the surname Lovelady, you would expect a couple to have a romantic story to tell for Valentine's Day.
And Margaret and Trevor Lovelady live up to their name with a tale of lost love - rediscovered at a bus stop.
The couple, who live in Gilpin Road, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, were childhood sweethearts until Trevor, 64, joined the Royal Army Service Corps.
Over the course of more than 20 years they lost contact with each other and married other people.
It was not until their marriages were over that they bumped into one another at the bus stop in Halifax, where they lived at the time.
Margaret, 65, said: "We stood there for ages talking about the past and how we used to go dancing and to the flicks.
"We started courting and eventually he said 'let's get married because we've lost too many years as it is.'
"It just blossomed from there."
The couple, who have four children each, moved to the North-East with Trevor's work as a security guard when they were married 22 years ago
