YOUNGSTERS will see some of the classiest technology in the country, at the Rolls Royce factory in Sunderland, today.
About 24 nine and ten-year-olds, from Redby Primary School, Sunderland, will visit the Pallion plant as part of a project to involve schools with engineering.
The Technology Tree scheme is run by the Engineering Employers' Federation, which has almost 300 members in the North-East.
The pupils will be given a project to tackle.
Headteacher Sarah Kitching said: "They will be working on the project for about ten weeks, researching and designing a solution. After that, they will go back to Rolls Royce and make a presentation of their project.
