AN ex-factory worker died from lung damage, a resumed inquest heard yesterday.
Ronald Simpson, 60, of Pearson Street, Spennymoor, Countuy Durham, was taken to Bishop Auckland General Hospital last October with suspected pneumonia. He died five days later.
Pathologist Dr Clive Bloxham told the Bishop Auckland inquest that his death had been caused by respiratory distress syndrome which had advanced to "quite a late stage."
Coroner Colin Penna recorded a verdict of natural causes
