MARK Tinkler's second-half header made ensured Hartlepool United's assault on the Division Three promotion slots continued at Macclesfield.
Tinkler's header, from Paul Stephenson's left-wing corner made it 30 points from a possible 36 in an unbeaten run stretching back to November 25.
The first-half was an uninspiring affair, but Pool found their feet in the second half and their neat passing game was too much for the home side. Kevin Henderson twice went close to making it two, but Pool go into back to back home games this week with Cardif and Brighton in their sights.
