NEW mothers in Hartlepool have been given the chance to get back in shape with an exercise class.
A free six-week course is being run by Hartlepool Borough Council's Sports Development Team.
The course, aimed primarily at people in the Owton Rossmere area, will include advice on diet and weight loss.
Liz Starrs, of the Sports Development Team, said: "The sessions will be a very gentle way of helping new mums to start getting back into shape in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere."
The course, funded by the Owton Rossmere Single Regeneration Budget Partnership, is open to new mothers who have had their post-natal check-ups.
It takes place every Tuesday, from February 27 until April 3, from 1pm until 2pm, at the Owton Rossmere Resource Centre, in Wynyard Road. A creche will be provided.
