A TEESSIDE printing company has moved to a business park, just six miles away from its old home.
Jordison Ltd, was established in the 1830s and has been based at Cargo Fleet Lane, Middlesbrough, since the mid-1950s.
Now it has moved to a new purpose-built facility at the Kirkleatham Business Park, near Redcar.
The move was scheduled to take place over six weeks, with the priority being continuous production.
Equipment was transferred on a departmental basis and, for a period of four weeks, production was carried out at both locations at the same time.
The company said the new factory has an excellent workflow and superb working conditions.
A spokesman said: "No expense has been spared to achieve industry standard in all the necessary services.
"Jordison boasts a very loyal and highly-skilled workforce and, because the premises are only six miles from the old, all of the personnel have been able to stay with the company."
While the move was going ahead, the company took the opportunity to upgrade some of its machines, buy new equipment for the pre-press, litho and screens department, refurbish the offices and install a new communications system.
The spokesman said: "Jordison is now even better equipped to serve its main markets of billboard advertising, bus advertising, in-store displays and large format packaging.
"Having both litho and screen operations within the same production areas enables us to offer the complete poster and bus advertising printing service.
"Initially established in 1839, Jordison has more than 160 years of print excellence to reflect upon, but with the dawning of the real millennium, a new era beckons for the company in its new environment."
