A WOMAN has died in hospital following a road accident last Wednesday.
The incident happened at 7.30am, on the A66 west-bound, near the Longnewton and Teesside airport junction.
A BMW veered off the main road on a sweeping right hand bend, and a motorist stopped to help, parking his van off the road next to the BMW.
Soon after, a Peugeot being driven by Elizabeth Crisp, 26, also left the road. It collided with the van, causing Ms Crisp, of Eagle Park, Marton, Middlesbrough, to sustain serious injuries. She died in hospital.
Any witnesses are asked to contact (01642) 301558.
