A NEW occupational therapy service could soon be set up in Darlington.
The borough council's plans to streamline the service, provided by several organisations, will cut waiting times. Darlington Borough Council's cabinet is expected to refer the proposals to a scrutiny committee.
The council's director of social services, Colin Morris, said: "An integrated occupational therapy service in Darlington will be able to deliver much improved intermediate care services to disabled and older people in the town and avoid the duplication in assessment processes.
