GULF War veterans and their families are to stage a commemorative march to highlight their claims of neglect by the Government.
About 150 former servicemen and their families are expected to take part in the event in London on Saturday, the tenth anniversary of the start of the ground war against Iraq.
Organiser Larry Cammock, Newcastle-based chairman of the Royal British Legion Gulf War Veterans' Branch, said they hoped the march would become an annual event.
He said 478 former service personnel had died since the end of the conflict but the Ministry of Defence had refused to acknowledge that those deaths were related to the war.
