A MOTHER and daughter were injured when youths threw a brick at a bus, smashing a window.
The attack happened at 4.40pm on Monday, near the Raby Arms pub, in Hart village, near Hartlepool.
The pair, who were travelling on the bus, suffered cuts when they were showered with glass from the smashed window next to their seats.
The daughter also suffered bruising to her head, when she was hit by the brick.
Three youths believed to be between 12 and 13-years-old were seen close to the scene.
Two later stopped but one boy, in a blue Adidas jacket, ran off towards West View.
A police spokesman said: "This was an appalling act of vandalism, which could have led to someone being blinded."
