A RESEARCHER is looking for photographs of old soldiers to complete a picture of his parish.
Stuart McMillan, from Skelton, east Cleveland, is picking up where east Cleveland historian and old soldier, Tom Curnow, left off.
Mr Curnow had collected the names of 970 soldiers from Skelton parish who served in the First World War. At the time, the parish included New and Old Skelton, Skelton Green, Boosebeck, Margrove Park, Moorsholm, Lingdale and Charltons.
Mr McMillan, a researcher for the Imperial War Museum, now hopes to contact relatives of people from the Skelton parish who served in the Great War. It is thought that most of the men will have volunteered for the Green Howards.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mr McMillan on (01287) 651491
