PUB-goers have been busy exercising their minds as well as their drinking arms during the past weeks.
Regulars from 15 pubs had their knowledge tested over the airwaves when they took part in a team quiz organised jointly by Pubmaster and Harrogate-based Stray FM.
Every Sunday lunchtime, two different pubs competed against each other for the highest score, and the two highest-scoring pubs faced each other in the final week.
It was the brainboxes from the Oak Tree, in Helperby, who came out as the champions, winning a party night at their pub.
"Plenty of customers turned up to support our team of four," said landlady Tracy Price, who runs the pub along with landlord Paul Weetman.
Following the success of the quiz team, the Oak Tree will soon be starting its own Sunday evening quiz, a Who Wants to be a Millionaire-style game
