COUNTRY lovers turned Indian at the weekend to make dream-catchers.
Volunteers in Sunderland helped complete a community wood at Herrington Country Park as well as trying their hand at making bird-boxes, weaving willow shapes and creating the North American spiritual ornaments known as dream-catchers.
"It was a good fun, family event," said organiser, countryside officer Claire Thompson, "and everyone pitched in to help create the wood, which should be an amenity for the whole community."
The event was organised by environmentalists Woodland Action with the support of Sunderland City Council, the Countryside Agency and RJB Mining
