A PIONEERING scheme to put pre-school children in tune with learning has hit a high note in Stockton.
Music Makers allows youngsters in nurseries, pre-school and reception classes to make music together.
The sessions have been developed and run by educational psychologist and musician Dr Hannah Mortimer.
More than 30 Stockton schools and nurseries have taken part in the scheme, and teachers and play leaders have been encouraged by the effect on the youngsters' confidence and concentration.
Dr Mortimer worked on the scheme in her doctorate studies at Sheffield University.
