POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault which left a man needing hospital treatment.
The incident occurred at about 6pm, on Saturday, at The Greenway, Thorntree, Middlesbrough.
A man was returning to his car when he was attacked. He needed treatment for injuries to his right eye.
The attacker is described as a white male, aged between 30 and 40, with short, brushed back blond hair.
