A SPURNED lover threw boiling water over his girlfriend when she ordered him out of her house a court heard.
Nicola Stone was scalded over her upper body, Teesside Crown Court heard yesterday.
Lee Carter, 30, attacked her after their eight-year relationship had broken up.
Fiona Swain, prosecuting, told the court: "He arrived at her home in an awful state and became abusive.
"He was making some coffee and threw the boiling contents of the kettle of water at her."
Giles Pinkney, defending said Carter, of Ruby Street, Saltburn, east Cleveland, bitterly regretted causing the injuries and the breakdown of their relationship, from which they have a daughter.
Carter admitted bodily harm assault on Miss Stone at her home in in July 1999. He was jailed for two years
