THE Billingham Regeneration Partnership has elected a new chairman to spearhead changes in the town.
Businessman Roger Black will take charge of his first Regeneration board meeting on Monday at the Regeneration office, in Queensway, Billingham.
Mr Black has lived in Billingham for more than 20 years and runs his own company called Print Promotional, which has been in the town for ten years.
He said: "I live and work in Billingham, and my heart is in the town. As chairman, I will be working to find out what the Billingham community wants and to keep it involved in and informed about what is happening."
Mr Black takes over from Bob Snowdon, who has been unable to attend meetings due to illness
