THE Bishop of Durham will give his blessing today to a co-operative that ensures decent working conditions for Developing World growers and producers.
The Right Reverend Michael Turnbull will join sixth-formers from Chester-le-Street's Pelton Roseberry School for a Fairtrade breakfast at the North Eastern Co-op's town centre store.
Fairtrade Mark products ensure a fair deal and decent working conditions for workers in the Developing World.
The bishop and the Pelton pupils will sample Co-op Fairtrade goods including bananas, tea and coffee.
The pupils will run a Fairtrade cafe on March 15
