A NEWSLETTER has been published to help schools get the most out of their visits to attractions on Teesside.
An adventure playship at Hartlepool Historic Quay, the new Discovery Centre at the Captain Cook Museum, at Middlesbrough, and the Dome that's really blooming, at Nature's World, are just some of the attractions highlighted in the Teachers Pet newsletter, produced by the Tees Valley Tourism Bureau.
Julie Longbottom, tourism manager with the Tees Valley Development Company, said: "Visits by schools and other educational establishments make a major contribution to the tourism business in our area, and we have a tremendous range of attractions which can provide real educational benefits and fun.
"The newsletter complements our recently produced guide to educational visits, the first of its kind in the country, which lists more than 45 different attractions, together with a comprehensive rundown on the educational opportunities each can offer."
