Detectives investigating the murder of Freddie Knights, who was blasted with a shotgun after being lured to his mother's home at Longbenton, North Tyneside, are trying to trace a maroon Renault 19.
A police spokesman said the car, believed to have been K-reg, may have been on the estate on the day of the shooting on September 20, last year. It may also have been seen with a silver VW Golf later found burned out. Anyone with information can call police on 0191-221 8844.
