OLD friendships were renewed at a reunion to celebrate 50 years of Guiding in Newton Aycliffe.
Current and former members of the Guides and Brownies met at St Clare's Church hall.
Guests came from far afield, including a former Guide who now lives in Russia, but who is visiting family in the town.
There were other visitors from Wales, London and Derby.
Organiser Glenda Spottiswoode, a former commissioner, said: "It's been a great success, a really excellent day. "There were people who haven't seen each other for 20 or 30 years, so it was a nice get together.
"It's been a great success and everybody's been talking about the old camps and pack holidays and concerts and lots of people have asked if we can have another one."
Arrangements are already being made to hold another reunion next year
