ADULTS with learning disabilities made a splash in their annual gala yesterday.
Beck House Day Centre, in Darlington, organised the event, held at the town's Dolphin Centre. The gala, which was aimed at non-swimmers, was hosted by County Durham Care Sports and Leisure Association, and funding was provided by Darlington Borough Council.
The fun gala included activities such as bedtime races, a walking race, pull and tug, a ball walk and a relay race.
David Jameson, from County Durham Care, who helped organise the event, said: "This was a non-competitive fun event, aimed at our more special needs clients, with an activity to match everyone's abilities."
There were prizes for everyone who finished first, second and third.
The Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Dot Long, was on hand to present the winners with their trophies.
