WHILE most people recoil at the memory of school dinners, those wanting to relive the days of mince and dumplings have a treat in store.
Bosses at the Uplands Hotel, in Crook, will be throwing the traditional menu out on March 15.
It will be replaced with school day favourites such as treacle tart and custard, cod and chips, or mince and dumplings.
Staff will be in school uniform, which is optional for customers, and there will be a school disco with hits from the 70s and 80s.
